Arteta Predicts Manchester United Improvement Before Arsenal Clash

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Manchester United will perform better this season under Ruben Amorim after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign.

United, now led by Amorim in his first full season, struggled last term, finishing 15th and missing out on European competition entirely.

Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag in November 2024, but his arrival failed to inspire an immediate turnaround at Old Trafford, reports MEN.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Premier League opener between Arsenal and United, Arteta said he expects improvements following United’s summer recruitment.

“They’ll be different this year,” Arteta told reporters. “The manager has more time, and they’ve added strong signings to the squad.”

He emphasised that United’s strengthened roster would help them compete more effectively than last season, along with other improved Premier League teams.

When asked about his favourite Arsenal-United memories, Arteta recalled historic battles and iconic players from previous eras.
