According to reports, Manchester United is thinking of making a surprise approach for Corentin Tolisso, a former midfielder for Bayern Munich. After Christian Eriksen’s contract expired, United allowed him to leave on a free transfer, leaving them in need of a new midfield player.
Matheus Cunha from Wolves is the only significant addition they have made this summer, and they are currently negotiating a deal with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo. And now that manager Ruben Amorim is trying to restructure his team, Tolisso has become yet another target.
According to a source from L’Equipe, United has ‘initiated contact’ with the agents of the Lyon star to ‘examine the feasibility of a transfer’, and the player is reportedly amenable to moving to Old Trafford.

According to the report, Lyon intends to assemble their squad around Tolisso for the upcoming campaign, but they might be tempted to cash in given their financial difficulties. Tolisso is the highest paid employee at Lyon and is reportedly worth over £8.7 million.
According to reports, Atletico Madrid is also interested in signing the World Cup champion, who has already turned down approaches from Turkish teams. Tolisso is seen to be a possible replacement for Rodrigo De Paul, who is reportedly pursuing a move to Inter Miami.
Miami manager Javier Mascherano responded, “There’s nothing official,” when questioned about De Paul. “I usually try to exercise caution, but I have seen the reports. He plays for another club, and I would rather not discuss guys who are not affiliated with us.”
