Bayern Look To Hijack Arsenal’s Agreement For 39-Goal Premier League Standout

Bayern Munich could re-enter the competition for Crystal Palace offensive midfielder Eberechi Eze, who is allegedly close to joining Arsenal.

Arsenal has been particularly busy in the summer transfer window, having already bought Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.

The north London club is reportedly close to signing Christian Norgaard from Brentford and has made an official bid for Chelsea’s Noni Madueke.

Mikel Arteta’s team is also interested in signing Eze, but they may face stiff competition from Bayern, who have shortlisted the 27-year-old after passing on Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams.

Bayern to hijack Arsenal deal for Eze?

Eze joined Palace in the summer of 2020 and has since emerged as a crucial player for the Eagles. Last season, he scored 14 goals in all competitions and helped the club win the FA Cup. He has scored 39 goals for Palace since his debut.  According to Cybayern.

According to Caughtoffside, Arsenal has offered a £45 million upfront fee plus performance-related add-ons, bringing the entire package close to Eze’s £67.5 million release clause. Meeting personal terms would not be a big deal.

Bayern were linked with a bid for Eze during the early stages of the summer transfer season, but the German club never made a formal contact.

Luis Diaz emerges as top target for Bayern

Christian Falk has informed CfBayern that Eze is not a big priority for Bayern currently.

The German giants need to strengthen their forward lines after Leroy Sane left the club as a free agent and Jamal Musiala was out for four months due to a major injury.

Eze is an excellent player, without a doubt, but Bayern have other priorities in mind.

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has emerged as the club’s top priority target in recent weeks, following the failure to sign Williams and Bradley Barcola.
