The charges span alleged incidents involving three different women between 2021 and 2022, according to the Metropolitan Police’s official statement on the matter.
Partey, who recently left Arsenal after his contract expired on June 30, now faces legal proceedings that could significantly impact his career.
In a statement, Partey’s lawyer Jenny Wiltshire said her client “denies all the charges” and has cooperated fully throughout the investigation.
“He welcomes the opportunity to clear his name,” Wiltshire added, citing the three-year investigation involving both the police and CPS.
Due to ongoing legal procedures, Partey will not be making further public statements until the case has concluded in court, reports Football London.
The Ghana international Thomas Partey was signed by Arsenal in 2020 from Atletico Madrid for £45 million, playing 167 times for the Gunners.
He is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on August 5, where the next phase of the legal case will unfold.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy urged others affected to come forward and contact police via the dedicated email address provided for this investigation.
