Liverpool continue to be linked with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, but Fabrizio Romano has cooled recent speculation in his latest update.

Romano, in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, confirmed there is currently “nothing concrete” regarding Liverpool’s interest in the Nigerian forward.
The Reds have already bolstered key positions this summer, signing Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and now Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
Despite those arrivals, Arne Slot remains in the market for a reliable central striker to spearhead Liverpool’s evolving attack.
With Darwin Nunez’s future up in the air, Slot has tried various options up front, including Jota, Diaz, and Gakpo.
This has raised questions about whether Liverpool will sign a more traditional number nine for the 2025/26 campaign.
Reports recently suggested Liverpool were exploring a potential swap deal with Napoli involving Osimhen to strengthen their attack.
However, Romano insists that talks remain in very early stages, and there’s no formal bid or negotiations underway yet, reports Give Me sport.
Osimhen is also attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, which could complicate Liverpool’s pursuit even further.
Meanwhile, Liverpool’s interest in Newcastle’s Alexander Isak has cooled due to the high price tag the Magpies have set.
