Despite their efforts to secure the signing of Nico Williams, Barcelona remains interested in acquiring Marcus Rashford.
The LaLiga winners are still in talks with Athletic Bilbao for the Spanish winger, who has a £50 million release clause.
Williams has been extensively linked with Arsenal, but Barcelona are in pole position to sign the 22-year-old, with the Spaniard reportedly telling Bilbao that he wants to make the transfer this summer.
Although Williams remains Barcelona’s top transfer priority, The Times reports that the Spanish club is still looking to sign Rashford on loan. Reported by Standard News.
The 27-year-old appears to have no future at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim, after being frozen out last season and spending the second part of the season on loan at Aston Villa.
Barcelona could soon have Williams and Raphinha as left-wing alternatives, but Hansi Flick is said to still want Rashford to join the club.

The Englishman’s versatility appeals to Barcelona’s manager, who sees Rashford as a player who can bolster his squad both out wide and up front, offering competition for Robert Lewandowski.
However, Barcelona would prefer a loan move, whereas United would like to sell Rashford permanently for roughly £40 million.
His wages of roughly £325,000 per week have limited the amount of clubs interested this summer, potentially forcing United to contemplate a loan move instead.
If United could remove Rashford’s salaries off the books, the club would save £17 million every year.
Rashford made it apparent during a recent interview with Spanish YouTuber Javi Ruiz that he wants to join Barcelona.
