Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward, Hugo Ekitike.
After a successful campaign last term, the 22-year-old has been receiving a lot of attention. The Frenchman recorded 12 assists and scored 22 goals in 48 games across all competitions.
In addition, he led his club to a top four finish, which earned them a spot in the Champions League.
German football expert, Florian Plettenberg writes on X that after being captivated by his recent impressive performances, Chelsea and Liverpool have already indicated interest in signing him.

Man Utd, however, have “officially” entered the competition by expressing “concrete interest” in completing the deal.
The Red Devils have been in touch to inquire about the specifics of signing Ekitike and have been informed that the forward is available for around£84 million.
Darwin Núñez may be replaced by a new center-forward, according to reports, as Liverpool have been busy strengthening the squad this summer.
However, Enzo Maresca intends to improve this position in the current transfer window. At the moment, Nicolas Jackson is Chelsea’s first-choice striker option.
United want to sign a new No. 9 in order to solve their goal-scoring problems from the previous season.
Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres are among the strikers who have been linked to a move to Old Trafford. But Ekitike is now showing promise as a new, serious option.
