Diario SPORT recently published an article that provided some insight into Barcelona summertime left-back search.
Alejandro Grimaldo seems to be the club’s top choice to replace Gerard Martin, and they are apparently willing to consider bids for him.
As Barça looks to increase competition for Alejandro Balde at left-back, Grimaldo is viewed as an urgent priority.
During his tenure at Bayer Leverkusen, Grimaldo has experienced a great deal of success, but that success could come at a high cost. The Catalans are already considering other options because of this.
An alternate is Caio Henrique.
According to the article, Caio Henrique, a defender for AS Monaco, is Barça’s reliable backup.
With a price of about €15 million, the Brazilian full-back, who has previous La Liga experience during his time with Atletico Madrid, is viewed as a more reachable target.

Deco, the sporting director of Barcelona, is reportedly a huge fan of Caio and is actively supporting the 29-year-old’s possible transfer.
He is an obvious choice to bolster the team without going over budget because of his technical profile and knowledge of Spanish football.
But Barça has long-term plans for its left back. The team wants to add a seasoned defender who can start playing right away and help stabilize the position over the course of the following two seasons.
Jofre Torrents, an academy product who is eighteen, can likewise grow at his own speed thanks to this tactic.
Henrique’s comparatively lower price tag should make him a target for Barcelona, but a lot will rely on how well the team is able to let go of its undesired players this summer.
