However, he realistically added that such a scenario “won’t happen,” during an event at the Monarka Clinic on Wednesday night.

Guardiola acknowledged Manchester City’s past interest in Yamal, now reportedly valued at over $456 million by CIES Observatory.

He reiterated that the youngster is already “at the best club to be the best,” praising Barcelona’s important role in his development.

Guardiola said he was sure Lamine is surrounded by good people, drawing parallels between his journey and Messi’s early days at Barça.

He emphasized that lasting greatness requires consistent performance, saying, “He must prove it every three days for fifteen years.”

Moreover, Guardiola commended Luis Enrique’s PSG squad, labeling them among Europe’s top two teams alongside Hansi Flick’s Barcelona side.

Reflecting on their 4-2 win over City, he described PSG as “a very strong team,” and congratulated Luis Enrique for his success, reports Forbes.

Regarding the Ballon d’Or, Guardiola noted the competition between Ousmane Dembele and Lamine, saying both deserve recognition.

He downplayed speculation, saying, “What I say matters little,” and stressed the importance of earning honors through performance and merit.
