Ruben Amorim has reportedly ruled Leny Yoro, Mason Mount and Harry Maguire out of Manchester United’s UEFA Europa League round of 16 second-leg tie against Real Sociedad on Thursday night.
When United return to action, they know that victory is essential if they hope to qualify for the Champions League the following season.
The Red Devils have already been eliminated from the FA Cup and the League Cup, and they are almost guaranteed to achieve their lowest-ever Premier League finish this season.
They still stand a chance to qualify for the Champions League, though, and if they win the Europa League this season, they will be able to return to the top European competition.

However, it is easier said than done. United, who have had difficulty maintaining a winning record this season, will need to defeat their La Liga opponents on Thursday night despite dealing with a new injury problem.
According to Manchester Evening News, while speaking at his pre-match press conference, Ruben Amorim issued an update on his squad: “Mason Mount is too soon. Leny’s out.
Harry Maguire can not play this one but I hope to have him for Sunday (vs Leicester). Manu (Ugarte) is on the squad. I think there is no one returning.”
Asked if Yoro had a long-term issue after his withdrawal against Arsenal, the head coach added: “No, no. It is not long-term, but he can not play this game and the other game.”
