United has lost five of their last seven games across all competitions, and Amorim has expressed concern that his job could be in jeopardy if the team’s performance doesn’t improve.

Away supporters booed their team after the 2-0 Boxing Day defeat at Wolves and Amorim said: “The manager of Manchester United can never, no matter what, be comfortable, and I know the business that I’m in.”

Amorim’s successor at sports, Joao Pereira, was fired last week after eight games in charge, and Dan Ashworth left just five months of taking over as sports director at Old Trafford.

“I know that if we don’t win, regardless of if they paid the buyout or not, I know that every manager is in danger and I like that.

I like that because that is the job,” said Amorim.

“You can argue that I have been here one month and I’ve had four training sessions, but we are not winning.

That is the reality and I’m quite comfortable with that.”

Defeat at Wolves dropped United to 14th in the Premier League, eight points above the relegation zone and 11 off fourth-placed Arsenal, leading Amorim to dismiss their chances of qualifying for European football, reports Standard.
