Promising youngster Justin Kluivert scored his first Ajax goal l in Sunday’s Eredivisie encounter with Excelsior at Woudestein to follow in the footsteps of his father Patrick.
The gifted winger somewhat surprisingly made Peter Bosz’s starting XI because of Kasper Dolberg’s absence due to injury and the 17-year-old proved his coach right with a well-taken goal to level the scoring.
Kluivert junior found the net in the 32nd minute with a cool finish after a cross from Hakim Ziyech to restore parity after Kenny Tete’s own goal had handed Excelsior the lead.
