£86 million Target’ Set For Move’ As Mikel Arteta Prepares To Secure January Transfer

Arsenal could increase their ranks in the January transfer window after Mikel Arteta revealed at the end of December that the Gunners are willing to bring in new players this month if their injury issues continue.

They now have several players out due to injury, and Arteta is eager to ensure that his roster is not weakened coming into the second half of the season. With this in mind, the Gunners have been connected with a number of players, should they decide to enter the market and spend big.

On the pitch, Arsenal face Liverpool in the Premier League on Thursday. They’ve won their previous five top-tier games since losing to Aston Villa in December and are currently six points clear at the top of the standings. Here’s the most recent news from the Emirates.

Diomande price tag

Arsenal are keeping an eye on Yan Diomande ahead of a possible summer transfer.

According to the Mirror, the 19-year-old forward is expected to depart RB Leipzig at the end of the season after an outstanding stay in the Bundesliga.

Secure Diomande’s services this summer. Leipzig have no plans to allow the Ivory Coast international leave during the January transfer window, and a large offer would be required for them to consider a summer sale, considering that his contract runs until 2030.

Diomande joined Leipzig in a £17.3 million transfer from Leganes last July and has since shone in the Bundesliga, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 14 games this season.

He is currently one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents, with Manchester United and Tottenham both apparently keen.
